Horse trailers built around the horse

Featherlite designs its horse trailers for the animal first. Light-Flo feed panels give more airflow and daylight in the stall. Three-quarter-inch rubber flooring absorbs road shock. Slam-latch dividers are built so a horse cannot catch itself on hardware during loading or a rough mile.

We stock both bumper pull and gooseneck models, including units with living quarters and full amenities for multi-day trips. Beyond the horse-safety essentials, each trailer carries dozens of interior and exterior features — this is where the aluminum construction pays off twice, in the towing weight and in a trailer that will not rust out from under you.

Common Featherlite questions

Featherlite ships a 10-year transferable warranty, which is unusual at this length and matters at resale — the remaining coverage follows the trailer to the next owner. Bring us the model you are considering and we will go through the current warranty document with you before you buy.

It is Featherlite’s custom-build system: rather than choosing the closest stock unit, the trailer is built to your specification. It is most worth using on living-quarters and commercial trailers, where floor plan drives everything. Talk to us and we will spec it with you.

Aluminum is roughly 20% lighter than steel, which lowers fuel cost on every trip and lets you tow more trailer with the same truck. It also resists rust and corrosion, and it is one of the easiest metals to recycle at the end of the trailer’s life.
